    Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)

A Brazilian Butt Lift enhances the shape and projection of the buttocks by transferring the patient's own fat — harvested by liposuction from areas such as the abdomen, flanks and back — and injecting it in small aliquots into the subcutaneous layer of the buttocks. The procedure improves both buttock shape and waist contour through simultaneous liposuction of the surrounding areas and body contouring. Contemporary safety protocols strictly limit fat injection to the subcutaneous plane to avoid the historically reported risk of fat embolism.
