    Mole and benign skin lesion removal is performed for cosmetic reasons, repeated irritation, bleeding, atypical features or suspicion of malignancy. Common techniques include shave excision for raised lesions, punch excision for small round lesions and elliptical excision with sutures for larger or deeper lesions.
