Dupuytren's contracture is a progressive thickening of the palmar fascia that pulls one or more fingers into a bent position over years. Treatment options include percutaneous needle aponeurotomy, collagenase injection and surgical fasciectomy, chosen according to the severity and joints affected. More invasive surgery has lower recurrence but longer recovery; minimally invasive techniques give quicker return to function but a higher chance of disease progression.
