Facial fat transfer uses your own fat, gently liposuctioned from the abdomen, flanks or thighs, to restore volume to areas such as the cheeks, temples, tear troughs, jawline and lips. The purified fat is injected in tiny aliquots so it can establish a new blood supply; typically 30–70% survives long term and the remaining volume is considered permanent. It gives a soft, natural result and may also improve skin quality through regenerative stem-cell effects.
